Caught speeding: the runaway crane

A rare crested crane caused havoc after forcing police to close part of the A3.

The bird hopped from lane to lane of the southbound carriageway near Cobham, close to the M25. Officers caught it in a luminous yellow jacket and it was restored to its owner.
