Centenarian says 'isle be there'

A woman has started a new life on a remote island - at the age of 100.

Great-grandmother Rose Albutt has swapped her nursing home in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, to move 680 miles to the Shetland isle of Yell.

She is now staying with her son and his wife, who live there, and is looking forward to celebrating Hogmanay in her new surroundings.

Mrs Albutt, who has seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, was born in Balsall Health in Birmingham in 1906.

She has put her long life down to a glass of whisky before bed.
