Bear Grylls spent three years with the British Special Forces. During this time he had a horrendous parachuting accident whilst in southern Africa and broke his back in three places.
Yet three years later, after severe rehabilitation, he overcame the odds aged 23 to become the youngest British climber ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest and return alive.
More recently he's become a TV presenter demonstrating survival techniques in hostile environments.
In this video he demonstrates how to drink fluid from fresh elephant dung.
And here he eats raw dead zebra.
He's also not adverse to eating raw fish.
There are a lot more videos featuring Bear and his survival techniques at YouTube.
