The Liverpool club credited with launching the career of The Beatles today celebrates its 50th anniversary with a 13-hour party.
The Beatles played hundreds of gigs at the Cavern Club between 1961 and 1963.
It was demolished in 1973 but reopened 10 years later on part of the same site using reclaimed bricks from the original building.
A piece of public art, showing the site of the doorway to the original club, will be unveiled as part of the events.
