Daughter, 15, 'paid friends to kill mother for ban on meeting boys'

A 15-year-old girl in Siberia paid three teenagers 15,000 roubles (£300) to kill her mother because she would not let her go out with boys, Russian detectives said yesterday.

Police in the industrial city of Barnaul said they had opened a criminal investigation after the girl's stepfather discovered his wife dead in their apartment. She had been stabbed 17 times and her throat had been slit.

Regional prosecutor Valery Ziyastinov said the girl had hired three friends to kill her mother after she told her not to go out to meet boys.

The girl allegedly stormed out of their 9th floor flat and went to stay with a female friend, plotting the murder with a boy in the year above her at school and another friend from a technical college.

The boys allegedly entered the apartment with the girl, stabbing her mother when she came home from work, while the girl sat in her bedroom. They then fled. The girl confessed after seeing her mother's body, detectives said.
