Stress Down Day is Samaritans’ national awareness and fundraising event and aims to get across a serious message in a light-hearted way.
On Stress Down Day Samaritans will be raising awareness of the effects of stress in the workplace and encouraging people to take better care of their emotional well-being.
Simply encourage your colleagues to wear their slippers at work on your Stress Down Day and donate £2 to Samaritans for taking part.
On a more serious note, you could use the day to raise awareness of the problem of stress in the workplace. Use Stress Down Day as an opportunity to obtain employee feedback on stress levels, encourage employee suggestions on reducing stress at work or debate the difference between 'stress' and 'pressure'.
