Que Sera composer Ray Evans dies

Oscar-winning songwriter Ray Evans, known for a 60-year musical partnership with Jay Livingston, has died aged 92.

The pair produced themes to TV shows Bonanza and Mr Ed, and created songs for dozens of films, such as Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera).

Evans generally wrote the lyrics while Livingston, who died in 2001, would provide the melodies.

The video above features German band The Lords performing Que Sera, Sera in the early 1960's. At their 40th anniversary gig in 1999, singer Lord Ulli suffered a heart attack, fell from the stage and fractured his skull, sadly dying a few days later.

Que sera indeed.
