Student is fined for snow phallus

A student who built a 4ft (1.219 metres) phallus out of snow in a park was given a fixed penalty fine of £80.

John Knowles, 18, a history student at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, created the snow sculpture on Parker's Piece near the Parkside police station.

Mr Knowles was told that he had caused public offence for the "intricate" creation in a "prominent position".

A police spokeswoman said: "The officer took the view that it could cause offence and issued a fine." Reports the BBC.

Whilst The Sun excitedly report that the officer who issued the ticket was P.C. Wiley.
