Lonely heart, 88, seeks companion

An 88-year-old widower from York is proving it is never too late to look for love.

Lonely heart Harry Sellers has placed a notice in the personals column of his local paper, hoping to meet a woman to spend his days with.

His notice reads: "Every good man needs a good woman."

"Brown-eyed, male, 88, widower, honest and considerate, good sense of humour, seeks special female to share the rest of his life with."

Mr Sellers, who lost his wife two years ago, said he lived an active life and was clean and tidy - but had been lonely since his wife died.

He said: "I am just into life. I read a lot, and I paint a bit as well. But I want somebody to live with me until I die."

With video.
