First football referee in a wheelchair

A wheelchair-bound teenager is hoping to take charge of his first football match after completing a refereeing course.

Lee Steege, 17, is desperate to blow the whistle after passing the nineweek FA programme.

He said: "I'd be able to do kids' matches and five-a-side. But my aim is to do a full 11-a-side game."

Lee, who has cerebral palsy, supports local club Southampton. Hampshire FA are trying to get him a game. He will ref from the sidelines so he doesn't get in the way.
