A gallery in Salford looking to host an exhibition on the myths of northern life says it is missing one vital element - a stuffed whippet.
The Lowry gallery at Salford Quays says its tongue-in-cheek review will feature terraced streets, smoking chimneys, driving rain, flat caps and whippets.
They have issued an appeal for someone to loan them a stuffed dog.
Curator Bill Longshaw said that if anyone had one in their loft he would like to hear from them.
