Man banned from talking to women for five years - Update

The Peeping Tom ordered to wear a fluorescent jacket at night was yesterday banned from talking to women for five years.

Stephen Cooper, 24, was told he must not approach any unknown female unless it is part of everyday business such as buying a newspaper.

He was also banned from going out alone between 10pm and 5am, even to walk the dog, and a string of other conditions under the Sexual Offences Prevention Order. Judge Peter Dedman also gave him a three month suspended jail sentence and imposed an 18 month supervision order.

But he did not reimpose the need to wear the reflective jacket at night.
