Naked man in bizarre street chase

A naked man chased a burglar who used a blowtorch to try to steal a motorbike from his house.

The nude and startled homeowner ran into the street after his four-year-old son woke him in the night because he had heard the determined thief in the conservatory.

But it was only as the dad ran down his street that he realised he had no clothes on.

The bizarre scene occurred after the brazen burglar dragged a wheelie bin full of gas cannisters and a blow torch through a South Wales housing estate in a bid to steal the £4,000 motorbike from the house.

When he reached the target address in Sanderling Drive, St Mellons, Cardiff, he used the blow torch to melt the lock on the motorbike which was in the rear conservatory.

The owner, who did not want to be identified, said: “There’s going equipped, and there’s going equipped!

“He’s gone to so much effort I take my hat off to the guy.”
