Snip while you sip

A Sale pub is getting a restyling, with the addition of its very own barber's, offering punters a perm to go with their pint.

The Lively Lobster is hoping to become a cut above the rest as it introduces the new service later this month, along with a catalogue of new improvements and changes.

Helen Tweesdale, the new landlady, said: "The brewery told us it was a bit mad, but were happy to let us do it. We think the barbers will be an asset to the pub; hopefully people will be able to sit and have a Guinness while they have their hair cut."

She added: "If anyone at the bar is too messy, we can just send them for a cut."

The two ventures will run concurrently during the day, but the barbers will close in the evenings; the hope is that regulars will wash and goto the bar.
