Window cleaner drowned in his bucket of suds

A window cleaner drowned in his own bucket of water after collapsing while he worked, an inquest heard.

Mark Fairhurst, 35, was found by a customer and, although paramedics were called, it was too late to save him.

He had a heart condition which is thought to have caused him to lose consciousness and slump head-first into the full bucket.

A post- mortem examination found evidence of a latent heart condition, but the actual cause of his death was drowning. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
