A hapless groom is unlikely to be wearing his morning suit – after he was jailed for diving into a fountain in his birthday suit on his stag weekend.
Stephen Mallone stripped off and jumped into the fountain after a day of drinking with friends in Bratislava, Slovakia.
But police failed to see the funny side. The sozzled stag was arrested and hauled to a court, where he was jailed for two months for being drunk and disorderly.
Mr Mallone, 25, was due to marry next Friday. British consular officials are now trying desperately to get him to the church on time to wed sweetheart Kerry Stokes.
The couple now face having to cancel their lavish £20,000 reception for 250 guests from across Europe.
Foreign Office spokesman Pasquale Lamanno said the department could offer 'advice and support' but could not 'interfere with another country's legal proceedings'.
