A US priest sacked a church choir-mistress and organist because she would not give up her job selling sex toys.
Linette Servais was expecting a thank-you for her 35 years' service when Father Dean Dombroski asked to see her.
Instead, she was given an ultimatum - quit her job with the Pure Romance company or be fired from her church work.
She said that, although the parish, near Green Bay, Wisconsin, had been her life, the choice to keep her sales job was not a difficult one.
"After I got over the initial shock, I prayed over this a long time," said Ms Servais, 50. "I feel that Pure Romance is my ministry."
"Father Dean made it sound so sinful," she said. "There is so much more to this business than toys. It's about empowering women and helping them strengthen their relationships," she said.
