The hillside artist that brought traffic to a standstill along Highway 20 near Newport last summer with his reproduction of the Mona Lisa on a grassy slope is working on a new masterpiece.
This time, it’s a reclining nude based on a drawing he made of his wife when they first met. She was a model.
So far, the head, shoulders and one arm are visible in the finished section, measuring 60 by 40 feet. He is working now to complete another 100 feet.
