He is exhibiting a £50million skull set with 8,601 flawless diamonds - but Damien Hirst’s newest work can be rented out for only £2.
The Turner Prize winner is one of 23 artists and stars commissioned to design deckchairs to replace the Royal Parks’ traditional green-and-white-striped variety.
Deckchair Dreams returns this summer, allowing the public to get a close view of famous designers’ workwhile relaxing in the parks.
Hirst’s offering portrays butterflies on a plain white background. "It’s supposed to represent a summer’s day and I chose pink for the girls and blue for the boys," he said.
The project aims to raise funds to help look after the parks. Limited-edition deckchairs will be on sale for £83 from the Royal Parks Foundation.
