What a week it's been for Welsh footballing legend Leighton James

First of all he was named Rookie lollipop man of the Year.

Mr James said: "I have a few spare hours each day and wanted to use them to help the community I live in.

"I felt I could make things a bit safer for the children."



Then he was given a 16 month driving ban after being caught behind the wheel while almost one and half times over the legal alcohol limit.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £575 in fines and court costs and was told that his ban will be cut to 12 months if he takes and completes a course for drink drivers.
