A website that allows victims to post their own rewards for information about crimes committed against them has been launched.
Creators of www.CrimeNET.eu say the project will give power back to people who have suffered a theft or other type of incident, helping to prevent the trail going "cold".
The public can view a list of crimes and submit information, which is then passed to police.
Simple "lost and found" ads can be posted for a flat £10 fee, but for other types of crime, the victims will pay CrimeNET a percentage of the sum offered as a reward.
