Teenager jailed for 120mph stunt

Police have condemned a driving stunt in which a teenager filmed himself travelling at 120mph on a motorway as "the utmost stupidity".

Trainee mechanic Nathan Campbell, 18, has been jailed for four months after the film of him in his father's Toyota MR2 was posted on the internet.

The clips show him swerving across several lanes and hard shoulder of the M65 in Lancashire.

Footage showed the car travelling at speeds exceeding 140mph but the court heard the vehicle's speedometer may have been wrong by up to 20mph.

Campbell, of Fenwick Street, Burnley, admitted dangerous driving.
