82-year-old charged after lifting kilt at Celtic festival

An 82-year-old Massachusetts man is in trouble with police after showing a little too much "Celtic pride" while on stage at a recent festival.

The Charlton resident lifted his kilt to reveal his bare backside to the crowd, and was quickly whisked off stage.

"Everybody knows something about this legend of what the Scotsman wears under his kilt, and I was just giving a demonstration," said Dr. David McCracken.

Some people thought McCracken's display was over the top and complained to police.

He was then charged with lewd and lascivious behaviour.

McCracken says he made a mistake and learned a lesson. "It was a bit thoughtless. I just got carried away with the enthusiasm of the whole business," he said.
