Blinky the two-headed cow euthanased

A calf born with two heads at a US dairy farm this week has been euthanased after one of its lungs collapsed.

Blinky, who had four eyes, two noses and two mouths, but only two ears and one neck, was put down after its owner consulted three veterinarians about the lung.

"Unfortunately, it was predictable", the owner of the farm, Greg Hamstra, said after putting Blinky down. "I did not enjoy it."

The calf was named Blinky because all of its eyes blinked at the same time.

There are videos featuring Blinky when she was still alive here and here.
