Hillsborough County authorities said an argument with his mother led a seven-year-old boy to drive off with her car.
The boy didn't drive far before he stopped the car and ran away. He had taken off in his mother's vehicle after arguing with her.
Deputies searched for the child in the Plant City area for a short time.
He was later found hiding inside a church and returned home.
