A 19-year-old Ohio teen accused of leading police on a dangerous high-speed pursuit was later found sleeping in the middle of the road.
Paul Scovronski, 19, fled from Wintersville Police in a pickup truck around 2 a.m. Saturday. With speeds reaching upwards of 80 miles per hour, Wintersville Police called in backup.
Soon after, Scovronski collided with a Jefferson County Sheriff's car, causing Scovronski's truck to crash in a ditch. Scovronski then ran into the woods and disappeared.
After a massive search of the area, Wintersville police abandoned the search and headed back to the station. But on their way back, they found Scovronski in the middle of the road, sleeping.
Police said Scovronski still refused to surrender. As police approached him, Scovronski jumped back and attempted to flee again. Police ultimately used a stun gun to subdue him.
