Pensioner given Asbo for loud Vera Lynn music

A patriotic pensioner who drove his neighbours mad for a decade by listening to Vera Lynn round the clock has been given an Asbo.

George Large, 66, was hit with the court order after neighbours complained about the constant repetition of forces favourites There'll Be Bluebirds Over (The White Cliffs of Dover) and We'll Meet Again.

Now he has been banned from belting out the Second World War classics for the next ten years.

Neighbour Colin Morgan, 41, said: "We've all told George to give it a rest with the Vera Lynn. Maybe now he will listen."
