A parish priest made sure the bells rang out for a couple's wedding by climbing 35ft up a church tower to fix a rope rope at the beginning of the ceremony.
A proud usher at the ceremony - at All Saints' Church in Easton, Portland - was enjoying his honour of ringing the bell for the bride's arrival when the rope broke.
The Rev Fionn McKinty decided to take matters into his own hands. The former tree surgeon climbed up the ladder and replaced the rope in time for the bells to ring out as the newly weds departed.
The bride and groom saw the funny side of the mishap, which was caused by the rope rubbing against a broken spindle above.
