Virgin Mary sighted at church

The faithful claim the Virgin Mary is at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Miami.

A security guard spotted her image on a cloth inside the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament at the church, on Wednesday night.

Since word spread, hundreds have been flocking to the Westchester area church to see the Virgin Mary's image for themselves.

"I didn't expect it to be so clear," said Magdi Castaneda. "You could actually clearly see the silhouette of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Family, but the clearest one is the silhouette of the Virgin Mary, and you see the silhouette of Joseph and the curve of the head of baby Jesus."

A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Miami said the church has no official statement or position regarding the sighting.

"I'm very encouraged to see the respect and the pouring of love and the apparent responding to the call of the Lord to come and pray with Him," said Father Fernando Heria. "To me, that's the real miracle."
