Woman's pet chicken too noisy

A Salford woman is being told to find a new home for her pet chicken after noise complaints from nearby residents.

Neighbours have complained that the chicken, which is kept in a bedroom, clucks loudly and pecks the walls.

Janet and Squeak

Janet Slater, 54, has been told she is breaking her housing association tenancy agreement by keeping livestock in her Eccles bungalow.

Irwell Valley Housing Association has offered to relocate Squeak the chicken, but Mrs Slater has yet to comply.
