Australian customs have seized 500 tablets from a passenger at Melbourne International Airport after he allegedly tried to smuggle banned steroid concealed in his underpants.
An Australian man was stopped by Customs officers after arriving on a flight from Thailand yesterday, Customs said.
A Customs officer noted a bulge around the man's groin area during a frisk search.
The man allegedly pulled two socks from his underwear containing a total of approximately 2500 steroid tablets.
A 31-year-old man from Glenroy in Melbourne is due to appear in court on a date to be set.
He faces a fine of $110,000 and five years' imprisonment.
