Cow butchered after causing fatal crashes - Update

The owner of a cow which caused a series of road accidents which killed six people has butchered the animal to stop it making any more trouble.

Kop Ri, a Cambodian villager killed the animal on Sunday and sold off its meat after allegedly causing several accidents.

The cow was taking into custody last week after a 66-year-old motorcyclist hit the animal, which was standing in the middle of a road, and was killed.

Earlier this year, the cow caused a multiple pile-up killing five people, when it was standing in the middle of a road forcing a truck off the road into the path of oncoming traffic.

'The man has butched the cow and sold its meat so that it will stop causing him more problems in the future,' said Pin Doman, a police chief on the outskirts of the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.
