Woman allegedly had relationship with boy aged 8

A 30-year-old woman in Las Cruces faces criminal sexual penetration of child charges for allegedly having an inappropriate physical contact with an 8-year-old boy.

Las Cruces Police arrested Michelle A. Tufts on Monday after the boy's grandmother notified police that Tufts might have been having an inappropriate relation with the boy.



Tufts is charged with two felony counts of criminal sexual penetration of child under age 13 and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She has been booked in the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
