Road rage maniac drives into panicking bus stop crowd

Raging and swearing, this is the moment a 20-year-old driver completely loses his head - and his licence.

Korey Rowett, captured on CCTV, jumps behind the wheel of his boxed-in car, swerves on to the pavement and scatters Saturday morning shoppers in Plymouth as he squeezes his Peugeot 206 between bus shelters and shop windows.

Rowett had illegally parked his car in a bus lane so he could use a nearby cash machine. He returned to find it blocked in by a bus and blew his top when the bus driver remonstrated with him.

Rowett, who works as a foreman and driver for a building firm, was caught by the bus CCTV yelling abuse at its driver and pounding his fist on the windscreen.

A few seconds later footage shows him driving down a 12ft gap between busy shops and shelters on the pavement in Royal Parade, Plymouth, before rejoining the main road at a roundabout.

The judge, who told Rowett that he was satisfied that no members of the public were placed in 'undue danger' by his driving antics, fined him £500 with £200 costs and banned him from the roads for a year.
