Six-year-old invents 'robo rucksack'

A six-year-old inventor has seen his idea for a talking rucksack become a reality.

James Scowcroft, from Bolton, was presented with a working prototype of the “robo rucksack”, which is fitted with antennae and recording equipment, at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry after winning a national competition for young inventors that he had entered on a previous visit.

He explained: “It says, ‘Have you got your homework?’, ‘Have you got your dinner money?’, ‘Have you got your books?’.”
