Robin pays flying visit to bird charity's shop

A robin has been paying a daily visit to the shop at the headquarters of the RSPB - Europe's largest bird and wildlife charity.

The robin visits the building in Sandy, Bedfordshire, every morning, and heads straight for the room selling seeds.

He then perches on the till, a toy tree and a binoculars cabinet, completely unfazed by the steady stream of staff and visitors passing by, said the RSPB.

Retail manager Anne Watson said each day the robin heads for the seeds.

"We have to leave the door open for him to come in and he heads straight for the open buckets of seed.

"He's a great talking point in the shop and he highlights perfectly how reliant these garden birds can be on us during the winter."
