Police say a West Valley City woman was held captive for nearly three weeks. She managed to escape, but told police a horror story of her captivity.
Police say the woman was chained to the engine whenever her so-called boyfriend left the place. And the apartment was also sealed shut.
For nearly three weeks, police say Fernando Orozco-Trevizo kept the woman hostage in the apartment.
Police say she was allowed to eat, use the bathroom and shower. But never leave.
Last Friday, the woman found an opportunity. "Through condensation on window she was able to spell out 911 for someone to read," said Captain McLachlan. “Kudos to the man who saw it and called police.”
