Firefighters had to be called to free a woman who had been trapped for more than three hours after falling off the toilet.
It took them three hours following a delicate operation before she was free at 5.30am.
Her leg was trapped between the toilet and the wall, firefighters said.
The woman, said to be in her 50s, called for her husband's help when she fell at her home off Windsor Road, Knuzden, Blackburn. He tried to free her himself, before calling the fire service.
Firefighters had to drill a hole in the wall to free the woman, whose arm was burnt by a boiling central heating pipe. They said the woman had been left distressed by the incident.
Blackburn crew manager Craig Etherington said: "The woman had got up to go to the toilet and fell between the toilet and the wall and became stuck. It was a very tempestuous three hours for the lady."
