Police are hunting a man dressed as a nun who allegedly beat up two men dressed as a pirate and a parrot on New Years' Eve.
The two victims - one dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and the other dressed as his colourful parrot - were standing near a Lloyds cashpoint machine in Quarry Street, Torpoint when they spotted a man arguing loudly with a woman.
The man was around 6ft to 6ft 1ins, slim, with dark short hair. He was clean shaven, in his early 20s and spoke with a local accent.
He wore jeans and the victims told officers he was wearing a nun's habit. The woman was blonde and dressed all in black, possibly dressed as Catwoman from Batman. The victims watched the arguing couple until the girl ended up on the floor - possibly pushed by the man.
As they intervened the 'nun' turned violent and launched a savage attack on the two men. The pirate was struck in the face and suffered a badly swollen left eye and cuts above and below his eye which needed several stitches.
His friend, dressed in a parrot costume, attempted to rescue his friend but was beaten to the floor and repeatedly kicked in the head and body. He suffered bruising to his face and back of his head, cuts to his nose, chipped teeth and abrasions to his arms.
