Restaurant to serve Cornish-grown coffee

A rare cup of coffee, made from beans grown in the UK, will soon be available at Fifteen Cornwall, the restaurant celebrity chef Jamie Oliver helped to launch, using beans grown at the nearby Eden Project.

About 2kg of "cherries" were picked - enough for about 50 cups. The bar manager, Tristan Stephenson, said: "It's amazing to think we can harvest, process and roast coffee grown right here in Cornwall." Stephenson and some of the apprentice chefs will sample the fruits of their labour at a tasting session. The coffee will also be available in the restaurant for a limited period.
