Losing streak

A late entry onto the Moruya racetrack in Australia ruined what was otherwise a successful Batemans Bay Cup meeting last Saturday.

A 31-year-old man, believed to be celebrating at a bucks’ party, invaded the track wearing just his underpants and a wig.



Moruya Jockey Club racing manager Les Murphy said the streaker’s actions forced race officials to declare the last race of the day a no-race, risked lives and forfeited the placing horses’ prize money.

Video showed the streaker appear on the track 50 metres from the race finish, run ahead of the horses, then fall onto the grass.
