MP stunned colleagues by describing a minister as "an arsehole"

An MP stunned colleagues by describing a minister as "an arsehole" during a Westminster debate.

Lib Dem Greg Mulholland, 37, lost his rag when health minister Ivan Lewis refused to let him speak.

The Leeds MP asked Mr Lewis, 40, three times to let him talk, or "give way" in parliamentary jargon. When the MP for Bury, Lancs, ignored him he said: "He's an arsehole."

Wednesday's outburst was recorded in Parliament's transcript Hansard. Mr Mulholland has been ordered to apologise.

Three weeks ago forces minister Bob Ainsworth allegedly said "absolute bollocks" during a debate on troop equipment.

He denied it and it was removed from Hansard.
