Toddler shops his father to police

A Bispham father was found naked by police hiding in his girlfriend's loft.

Anthony Blackburn was discovered after officers saw his two-year-old son pointing at a trapdoor in the attic.

Former brewery worker Blackburn, 24, was being hunted because he had pushed his girlfriend over while she was pushing a pram and his son Declan fell out.

The court heard the toddler kept shouting "Daddy" up at the trapdoor.

Blackburn, of Buxton Avenue, admitted assaulting his girlfriend.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison suspended for two years, put on supervision for two years during which he must take a domestic violence programme and ordered to pay £80 costs by Blackpool magistrates.
