Comic voices on ticket machines

"Talking" ticket machines in a car park have taken on the voices of celebrities to remind customers not to leave valuables in their cars.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council hopes the move will deter thieves at Great Hall Car Park in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

An impersonator took on the voices of various celebrities, including Michael Caine, Frank Bruno and Elvis for the recordings.

Nine more ticket machines are set be installed around the area.

The machines also feature impressions of comedian Joe Pasquale and Boycie, a character from the TV show Only Fools and Horses.

Richard Powell of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council said: "We hope customers will enjoy the humour while taking on board the advice."
