A woman in the Philippines cut off her husband's penis while he was sleeping because she believed he had been unfaithful to her, police said.
Joelito Bayabado, 32, a Pasig City traffic enforcer, was rushed to the hospital before dawn yesterday after his wife Lenly cut off his penis in a jealous rage.
Police officer Rolly Lipata said 37-year-old Lenly Bayabado had long suspected her younger husband's infidelity.
Mr Lipata said neighbours rushed the screaming victim, 32-year-old Joelito Bayabado, to a hospital in Manila.
He had several hours of surgery to re-attach his penis but hospital sources said there was no guarantee he would still be able to perform sexually.
Mr Bayabado denied he was cheating on his wife but said he would not file charges because he wanted to keep the family together for the sake of their four children.
