Joan Rivers thrown off TV's Loose Women after swearing

Comedian Joan Rivers was kicked off national daytime TV show Loose Women after swearing live on air.

She described actor Russell Crowe as "a f*****g s**t". Host Jackie Brambles cringed at the outburst while guest Jane McDonald buried her head in her hands.

During the break, ITV producers hauled Rivers, 75, off the set.

The outspoken star said: "They whipped me off - it's the first time in 40 years. I'm not mellowing with age. I apologised. Everyone apologised. It was hilariously funny." Rivers claimed she thought swear words were going to be bleeped out.
