Churchill insurance dog uses the F-word, allegedly

The nodding bulldog that fronts the ads for insurance firm Churchill, has been accused of using the F-word in the brand’s latest TV ad.

It allegedly sees the dog swearing after saying his “Oh, yes” catchphrase.

Advertising watchdog, the ASA said it had not received any complaints, but the furore surrounding the ad has caught the attention of the national media as viewers debate whether the dog swears or not.

“I can assure you that Churchill Insurance would never use foul or abusive language in any of its advertising,” a spokesman said. “People are having a laugh, but we would not seek to use that kind of profanity in our adverts.”
