Man finds intruder using his blender

Police arrested a Mesa man on suspicion of trespassing after he walked into a stranger's apartment on Sunday night and used the blender.

Russell A. Goggin, 48, was arrested in the 400 block of East Southern Avenue near Mesa Drive around 11:30 p.m.

According to a police report, a man and his wife were asleep in bed when they heard noises in their apartment.

The man went into the kitchen and found an intruder using the blender and chased him out with a piece of metal bed frame.

Police said Goggin had also entered the nearby apartment of a woman earlier that night. Goggin entered the unlocked apartment and sat on the victim's couch. She told him to leave and he fled.

Goggin told police he used methamphetamine four hours prior to the incidents.
