The boy whose bones are vanishing

Brave Alex Clementson is battling a harrowing disease that makes his bones vanish.

The illness caused the boy's jaw to completely disappear and if it spreads to his other bones or soft tissue he could die.

The seven-year-old is the only child in Britain to have Gorham-Stout Disease, also known as Vanishing Bone Disease - with just 200 cases ever reported worldwide.

It's thought to have been triggered when Alex fell on his face at four, knocking out front teeth and leaving his other teeth wobbly.

You can read much more about Alex and Gorham-Stout Syndrome here.
