A woman taken to court over her dreadful singing is set to escape further punishment after a judge branded the case a waste of money.
Caroline Bishop (39) was originally given an Asbo last year after driving her neighbours in a village near Lincoln to despair by crooning Gary Glitter songs in her bathroom.
West Lindsey District Council officials took her to court after she belted out the likes of the shamed star's Leader of the Gang every morning.
Despite claims by her legal team that the case trivialised the use of Asbos, magistrates imposed a two-year order that will run until next January.
Bishop, formerly of Lincoln Road, Ingham, found herself back in court once more yesterday - this time for breaching the order by singing again.
But Judge John Machin said he could take no more after learning a trial lasting over a week and costing around £10,000 a day was likely. He said he would give Bishop an absolute discharge if she admitted the breaches and stayed out of trouble until the order ends - and she agreed.
